George Best

Legend is a word invented for George Best. He never got the chance at world stardom because he played football for a small country that didn't qualify for the world cup - Northern Ireland - but his skill, magical balance and fantastic looks led to him being called 'the fifth Beatle' by people.
I nearly cried when I looked at the images on Yahoo from Belfast, where his coffin was driven through the streets as onlookers applauded and left tributes.
