Why is Gram Parsons so popular?

I've been getting quite few views from the posse over at the Gram Parsons bulletin board. They have found a post referring to an email I sent to BBC Radio5 regarding the sentient points to make about this guy. [They were having a discussion about the Myths of Gram]. Of course I lay into him good and proper, ie, he was a Keith Richards groupie who took far too many substances and lost the plot. Here's the post if youre at all bothered, considering the subject. I just can't bear the man.
